About UK Expat Affiliate

My name is David, I am a UK Expat living in Gibraltar, and fell upon the affiliate marketing world purely by chance a couple of years ago. I was totally unprepared for my journey down this road, but once I realised the potential and started learning, I found I was unable to stop. There is literally not enough hours in the day.

My Background

I joined the Royal Air Force just before my 18th Birthday and spent the next 24 years as an Engineer. I left the RAF and moved to Gibraltar 10 Years ago. Whilst working for a major online company, I improved my IT skills and began to have an interest in marketing. This really didn’t have much of an impact on my life until one of my colleagues, I was working shifts with, mentioned affiliate marketing. He already had a niche market with a new cleaning product, and was making some decent money on top of his wages. This got me thinking so I pressed him for more information.

How Did I Progress?

So first things first, how was I going to build my website? My colleague told me about Wealthy Affiliate, and how easy it was to build a website through their platform. I trusted him but wanted to carry out my own research. After extensively searching for different platforms and online help forums I chose Wealthy Affiliate. This is certainly not a “get rich quick” scheme. If you want to read those, then this is not the place for you.

To start with you need to grasp the concept of affiliate marketing and how it works. First you need to build the website and then get “traffic”. This is not done overnight I can assure you. With the SiteRubix @ Wealthy Affiliate you can have a beautiful looking website in just a few clicks. Then the hard work starts. You need content and rankings to make sales.

I was in a full time job so slowly plodded on. I really enjoyed adding content to my site as it is a niche both my wife and I are interested in. You really do need to choose a niche you can stay focused on and have an interest in. I didn’t make my first sale until 6 months after I started. That really is a milestone and the feeling was just awesome. Then it really does become a challenge, and you spend more and more time tweaking and improving everything within your website. With the tweaking and ever advancing knowledge comes more sales.

I followed all the training given within Wealthy Affiliate and am really pleased with my content. The support is second to none and you can contact fellow members and the team at anytime. My website goes from strength to strength and it never stops.

The Goal Of UK Expat Affiliate

I am one of many of thousands of people that left the UK for a better life abroad. Many of us are now nearing retirement or have retired with plenty of spare time on our hands. My question is, do you fancy doing something different that is rewarding as well as challenging that can bring in some extra income? If the answer is yes then this is for you.

I will shine the light on the affiliate world and provide you with the knowledge you need to start a successful business online. The training will give you everything from the basics of building your site, to traffic generation methods, design, service reviews, as well as opinions you request from fellow members.

So, why not follow me, ask me for help and offer your own opinions.
