Making Sense of Cents Overview

This is a personal finance website that is personally run by Michelle Gardner. She points out that there is no other involvement as Michelle writes everything herself. Her aim is to help people save money and whenever possible get things for free. This is a Legit business platform and one that is respected in the entrepreneur world.

Michelle’s site starts off by analysing where she was as a student and how to get to where she is now. There is no doubt she is a very successful blogger and her personal earnings now are in the region of $125,000 a month.

The Good:

How To Save Money – Michelle’s site has literally hundreds of ways to save money. For example:

  • How to start a blog and make money (The main source of the site)
  • Getting rid of satellite TV and installing an antenna for FREE TV
  • Negotiating car and House Insurance
  • Changing your mobile provider

How to make Money – Here you will finds tons of ways to make money on the side, even if you are in a full time job. Examples are:

  • Starting a blog business
  • House sitting
  • Pet walking
  • Taking surveys
  • Even teaching

The content they have is in great demand from the general public and their market research is exactly what people want to see and really up to date. Michelle also has a very active community that she reaches out to for a fantastic customer experience.

The Bad:

I felt that even though there are hundreds of ways to make money or save money it is all relatively small figures in comparison to the money that can be made by starting your own blog side line with Affiliate Marketing. Obviously this is the selling point and the idea is to spend a little to make a lot.

Just her Affiliate Marketing course has earned her in excess of $1,000,000. Not bad eh.

The training isn’t very personal and it is not very user friendly and hardly aimed at beginners.

Who is “Making Sense of Cents” For?

Michelle is definitely targeting family orientated people who want to save money or earn a little extra on the side. Her personal touch is really effective and she has certainly done her homework when it comes to all the saving and making money blogs.

  1. Hello,

Can I know if you have paid for the above Course?

I have heard so much of this course, and that many people have benefitted and made affiliate sales.

Coming from Wealthy Affiliates, how do you think it compare? Is it sufficient just to follow Wealthy Affilaites’ teachings to succeed in Affiliate Marketing. What does Michelle cover, that may give an edge?

    • Hi Ya,
Thank you for your comments and question. I have not personally paid for Michelle’s course, but from what I have read and researched it is a very successful business plan. I believe it is more aimed at writing a successful blog and creating a business that way. I am more interested in Affiliate Marketing where I am writing about my interests and promoting various different companies associated with my interests.
If you are aiming at a blog business, you need to have a much larger social spectrum and be able to constantly chat to your followers. That is where Michelle comes into her own. I find I do not have the time for that, so I stick to the more traditional way of Affiliate Marketing. Wealthy Affiliate really does provide the back up and training to be able to do this.
I hope this answers your question.
      All the best
